Completed in 2021, the Melbourne Park Redevelopment marked significant upgrades to the site. A change that saw the precinct turn into a world class destination for live events, and guarantee Melbourne as the home of the Australian Open until 2046.
In 2022, we produced this video with Melbourne and Olympic Parks, Development Victoria, and Tennis Australia, to showcase the completion of the project. We held a spotlight on particular elements of the redevelopment, including environmental sustainability, accessibility and universal design.
Over the past decade, nearly $1 billion has been invested in the redevelopment of Melbourne and Olympic Parks. A world class sport and entertainment precinct that is home to the Australian Open.
